Recommended Use

1. Ensure your grain spawn is 100% colonized and clean.
2. In a clean area (SAB or flow hood recommended), mix 1 part grain spawn with 1–2 parts substrate in the bag.
   Tip: More spawn = faster colonization.
3. Seal or fold the bag above the filter.

   Product Specifications

   Preparation: Pasteurized, hydrated to field capacity, and bagged under clean conditions.

   Bag Type: Filter-patch mycobag for passive gas exchange.

   Moisture: Optimized for rapid colonization—no additional hydration needed (if used within two months).

   Best For: Gourmet/functional mushrooms. (Requires clean grain spawn; not included.)

   Storage & Shelf Life

   Store sealed bags in a cool, dark area (55–70°F). Use within 2–4 weeks for best results. Refrigeration extends shelf life. Do not freeze.

   Tips for Best Results

   • Use only clean, fully colonized grain—no uncolonized kernels.
   • Maintain clean technique: sanitize gloves/hands, flame or alcohol-sterilize tools, and work in front of a laminar flow hood or in a still-air-box.
   • Don’t over-pack the bag—leave space for airflow and shaking.  
   • Look for even, bright white mycelium. Off-colors or strong odors may indicate contamination.
   Frequently Asked Questions

   Q: Is this sterilized?
   A: It’s pasteurized, which preserves beneficial microbes and moisture balance. For most gourmet species, pasteurized CVG performs extremely well when used with clean spawn.

   Q: Which species work best?
   A: Oysters and Lion’s Mane thrive on it. Maintain clean technique and adjust spawn ratios to avoid overheating during colonization.
